One option that you may want to investigate is a timeshare transfer company aka timeshare relief company. They are NOT resales companies. Instead they transfer the timeshare out of your name so that you are no longer responsible for the fees. The transaction normally takes effect immediately after you the contract. They do require a fee for this service. I see it like a toxic financial waste removal service.

How to find a good one...it needs to have been in business for at least 5 years, i.e. no fly-by-night open today, gone tomorrow companies. Reviews should be positive, although probably not perfect since every company has some issues. They should demonstrate a willingness of personal transparency -- they show you who runs the company, who your representative is, etc. You need to know and trust them before doing business with them.

I am a Wyndham Timeshare owner and want to sell but most resale seem like a scam!?
Is there any way to sell???? I have 57,000 points. I have owned since 2000. I was burned a few years ago. Paid $500 to a resale company to get nothing in return.

You're at the start of the journey where you think that because you paid a large amount for your timeshare that you think it's worth something. Many timeshare owners have had the same thoughts and are trying to sell/rent their timeshares too.

The best places to try to sell/rent/exchange are websites that have a built in community of timeshare owners who already know the ropes. Try redweek.com or sellmytimesharenow.com, or advertise in Timesharing Today magazine (tstoday.com).

You cannot. Timeshares are a white elephant gift, no one wants it. You will not even be able to donate it to charity, they know how this will turn out.

What are the best ways to sell your timeshare? Or rent it out?
We have a two bedroom at PoloTowers on the strip in Vegas for New Year Week (or anytime of the year as long as we make reservation 60 days ahead). Some companies offer to take over for $2,000. I paid a fortune for it and do not want to give it away for free (or even pay).
Or if we keep it, besides eBay and craigslist, where else can we advertise it for rent or exchange it?
